Android Pay launches in Ireland

Android pay launched just over a year ago when Google decided to push mobile payments out to the masses. Payments using your mobile device wasn’t anything new at that stage, in fact, Android Pay was released as a replacement for the previous Google Wallet, which also offered the same functionality  but Android Pay brought it to more users than ever before. Sadly the new service was somewhat limited and only worked with certain banks and of course in certain countries, but more banks were support pretty quickly.

Today Android Pay finally launches in Ireland with AIB being the first bank to offer support for the Google service in Ireland. Setting it up is easy, as you simply download Android Pay from the Play Store (Link below), and then log in with your google account and then add your bank card. Using Android Pay will require you use a lockscreen and have an unrooted device.
