Nvidia have announced another graphics card from the GTX 700 series. The 770 is the latest and Nvidia are promising a 5-percent increase in performance over the GTX 680. Below are some of the specs to hopefully enlighten you on the performance the GTX 770 will bring to the table.
- Cores: 1536
- Core Clock: 1046 MHz
- Boost Clock: 1085 MHz
- Memory: 2GB
- Memory Bit Rate: 256 Bit
- Memory Clock: 7010 MHz
- Maximum GPU Power: 250W
The specs are fairly similar to that of the GTX 680 with a minor bump in clock speed, so the performance increase comes pretty much from that and the memory speed which is rated at 7.0Gbps (6.0Gbps on the GTX 680). Nvidia are proud to offer the first graphics with those memory speeds as well. While there is much point in upgrading a GTX 680 to the 770 unless you prefer the look, however the price of the 770 is set at €390/£329/$399.
The card is already available in most retail, so if your looking for GTX 680 performance for GTX 670 prices, then check out the GTX 770, that’s a lot of numbers right there. Also check out press release below for more information.
