CES2022 has always been a big moment for TV’s to come on the scene and this year is no different. Thankfully monitors are getting some nice attention for the latest tech straight out of the gate. Samsung this year have finally announced their QD-OLED (Quantum Dot) panels and with it are getting a lot of attention for bringing some real competition to the OLED market, which is currently LG’s playground.
The Alienware 34-inch monitor features 3,440 x 1,440p resolution with 175Hz refresh rate. It sports a impressive 99.3% of the DCI-P3 color space and 149-percent sRGB color space, making it a very capable display in terms of color accuracy. This ties in with the 1,000nits peak brightness, for top HDR performance. This is all thanks to the Samsung Quantum Dot OLED panel, which offers superior brightness and color accuracy compared to anything currently avaialble, and should add some real heat to the OLED TV/Monitor space.
The display uses DisplayPort 1.4 to reach the 175HZ refresh rate, which includes G-Sync Ultimate. If you wish to use HDMI2.0, you will be capped at 100Hz refresh rate. it has a 1800R curve and 21:9 aspect ratio.
