Review: Brainwavz B100 Balanced Armature Monitors

Earphones are probably one of the most used accessories avaialble, but at the same time, most people wouldn’t wish to spend much on a pair of a decent earphones, where typically usage could be a good few hours a week minimum. High quality monitor earphones can cost a decent penny, but when spending a decent whack on smartphone, it should be matched with a decent pair of earphones to enjoy your music.

Today we’re taking a look at the B100 Balanced Armature Monitor/Earphones from Brainwavz. Let’s dive straight in an take a look at the specs and whats in the box.

Now let’s take a closer look at the packaging, and the earphones themselves.

Brainwavz include 6 different sets of earbuds, with spares of each size just in case you loose any. They also include a set of foam earbuds, which adjust to your ear; maximising your noise cancellation. There is also have a decent carry case included in the box for adding protection of your earphones.

The cord on the cable is 1.3M long, and is ample length for using them while your device is in your pocket. The cable feels very sturdy and some what braided.

Conclusion

It’s a rather straight forward review, and it breakdowns rather easily. The earphones are better than anything we have gotten included with any device, and that includes the AKG earphones from Samsung with the Galaxy S8. Music sounds even, with both high and lows given equal grounding and an overall better experience. The way this wrap around your ear is something you might not be use too at first, but does provide a more supportive arrangement for the earphones.

The only lacking feature is a built in microphone/buttons for controlling music and answering calls. Thankfully Brainwavz are including a free Bluetooth receiver that turn the earphones wireless and add controls and a microphone, which in turn makes them that much more useful. If you wish to go without the bluetooth sensor, you won’t have controls or a microphone, so that should be noted.

Overall we’re pleased with the B100 monitors and find them both comfortable and high enough quality for their asking price. The included protective case, and extra ear buds are another positive notch in their offering.
