Xbox One June update set to bring external hard drive support and display real names

Xbox One Joypad (1)

Xbox’s Major Nelson has just shared details on the Xbox One update arriving this June. The update is set to bring external hard drive support, allow users to display their actual names to their friends, and lastly, Microsoft are including auto-sign in function as well. There is no specific date mentioned, but with changes already coming to Gold apps on June 9th, that date may be a good guess.

The external hard drive support requires at least 256GB of space, along with USB 3.0 spec needed. The Xbox One will support two external drives at the same time. The adding of real names is optional, leaving it up to each user on if they wish to display their real name.
