Sony launch Xperia M2 Aqua: mid-range device with IP65/68 waterproofing

Sony have just effectively relaunched their Xperia M2 mid-range device, this time with waterproofing features along for the ride. Dubbed the Xperia M2 Aqua, the main specs for the smartphone include a 4.8-inch display with 960 x 540 resolution, a Snapdragon 400 chipset with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 8MP camera. Other specs include the standward Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and a 2,300mAh battery. Sony have also included 4G/LTE support as well.

The idea of the relaucnh is to bring water proofing features to a mid-range device and the M2 Aqua isIP65/68 certied, allowing for 1.5 meters depth and 30 mins. The device will launch in Ireland and more regions including Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe. The launch in Ireland is completely exclusive to Vodafone Ireland and pricing is set at €199.99 on Pay as you go (contract free) and is completely free on all Vodafone RED plans(Contract).
