UAG have just launched their new line of covers for the Galaxy Note 2, this time there cases have a new design which is similar to the previous design with some minor changes. So up for review is the two new covers dubbed the Navigator and Scout. So let’s dive right in to some photos of the new covers.
Each cover comes with a screen protector, cleaning cloth and two cut outs for the back of the cover for a diffident internal look.
Here we have the inside of each cover. Each cover is made of two parts, we have an internal hard form composite with a softer external(edge) shell. The Navigator cover has a white internal composite with the Scout cover being completely Black in color.
UAG have continued their armored and industrial look and why not, it looks amazing.
The back of the device has the cut out holes which is where the different color pads come into play. We also have the sheet metal designed UAG logo which completes the armored look.
Closer to the top we have two two cut outs for the camera and flash, we took some test photos and saw no issue with flash reflection from either the navigator or scout.
Here we have the cutouts for the Micro USB, Mic, and S-Pen and above the speaker cut outs.
The top of the cover has the cut outs for the headphones and noise cancelling mic. Some covers often make the whole for 3.5mm jack to small and certain ear/headphones won’t fit, this is not the case for UAG, the whole is cut well bug enough for any connections.
Both the power and volume buttons provide excellent tactile feedback and compliment the covers nicely.
Conclusion
There is no way to fault the new covers from UAG, they look amazing and feel great on the device and offer amazing protection, including added support around the corners of the Note 2 which is normally a guaranteed shattered glass. When you spend a couple hundred of your hard earned cash on a device the first thing you want is protection for it, but you also want to to look as best it can and function. Well the Navigator and Scout covers from UAG exactly that, while the price $39.95 is on the high side, it’s a small price to pay for a stylish way of protecting your device.
