Camera UI
The Timescape UI also comes to the camera application, so let’s take a look at the layout.
The layout is straight forward and similar to stock as it would be on gingerbread. The left side contains a set of shortcuts that is customizable to the users content.
The different options available are what you would expect from an 8 megapixel camera. You can easily adjust for different resolution shots like 8MP, 6MP and then 2MP in both 4:3 and 16:9. There is a enough adjustments there to allow you to make sure you get the best possible shots.
The Sony Xperia P comes with a nice 8 Megapixel camera, so let’s take a look at some shots taken with the new smart phone.
The camera quality on the Xperia P isn’t half bad. Now while we have seen more impressive results from the One S which would be a similar market aimed device. The Xperia P does indeed give off some nice decent photos none the less. There were a few times we had issues with the focusing and also other issues with it not adjusting correctly to the brightness. That being said, there is more than enough ways to adjust different settings to get better quality pics in certain cases. Overall the camera is pretty decent.
Camera (Video)
The camera on the Xperia P can also record at 1080p, so let’s take a look to see how it turns out.
The video quality again is a pretty solid performer and keeps up in most standards with these devices. Now while we saw better results from the HTC One S. There really isn’t all that much difference there quality wise and the Xperia P quality turns out pretty good.
