PCMark 8
Now it’s time to take a look at the latest PC Mark 8 scores. Since this is the new version of PCMark 8, we have no 3770k scores to compare, so we will be looking at just the 4770k at stock and overclocked.
The short numbers don’t see much of an improvement with the overclock but over time with extensive tasks those second will add up. The longer tests such as Photo editing and Writing however show a steady performance increase.
The integrated graphics shows a solid 30 fps on the PCMark 8 casual gaming benchmark. Any decent dedicated graphics card would easily beat those scores, but not bad to fall back on and we can see some HTPC’s in the future sticking with the HD 4600 graphics and it will do nicely.
The last PCMark 8 benchmark shows the 4.4Ghz overclock gains 263 points over the stock results and that was evident across the board on the benches with some showing better gains than others. None the less the simple overclock has shown yet again to be worthy.
