Rampage V Extreme Sandra Processor Arithmetic

Starting with Sandra Aritmetic test, it’s hard not to immediately see the massive leap the overclock is getting. While the 5960x is already taking the lead at stock. It’s still shocking to see nearly 100 extra points on the Dhrystone test. Just to point out, a 4770k running at stock scores 177. So the 5960X overclock actually brings over 50 percent the performance a 4770k offers under the same test alone.

Here we can see the advance Haswell bring to the table. They do well to beat the 6 core 3960x at stock and overclocked in all but one test. Not a match for the 5960x, which again sees a massive jump with the 4,480MHz overclock.

Again, the Haswell chip does a better job at specific tests here. The 5960x still sees some impressive numbers across the board with the overclock again pushing them further.

The pattern is complete. The overclock is so extensive that yet again we are seeing it show the biggest jump amongst are results.

Rampage V Extreme Sandra Cache Bandwitdh

The 3960x takes the highest award for L3 cache speed, but everything else of course belongs to the 5960x. The overclock is again ridiculous and offers a massive jump in performancee on all results, bar L3 cache.

Rampage V Extreme Sandra Memory Bandwitdh

Lastly we have the Sandra memory tests. Again, the 3960x offers great numbers with the G.Skill Ripjaws Z 2,133MHz RAM. The 5960x still leaps ahead with XMP and overclocking results. The Corsair Vengeance 2,666MHz isn’t even the fastest available for the X99 platform, but should provide a great insight to what’s possible with the new platform.
