Nokia’s devices and services business now officially apart of Microsoft

The deal that was announced last year is finally complete, with Microsoft taking ownership of Nokia’s devices and service business. Microsoft will push their own new devices under the brand ‘Microsoft Mobile’ with the company also said to continuing to support other series of devices including the Nokia Asha, Lumia and more.

“Today we welcome the Nokia Devices and Services business to our family. The mobile capabilities and assets they bring will advance our transformation,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. “Together with our partners, we remain focused on delivering innovation more rapidly in our mobile-first, cloud-first world.”
