Nokia 3310 returns with new specs and famous design

We Nokia was returning to the phone market, and this time with Android as their software, but the rumors regarding a new 3310 have panned out, and finally details on the classic phone are released during MWC 2017.

The new device will of course feature new internals and new display, but shares a very similar design to its insanely popular predecessor. The 3310 2017 edition will includes a now tiny 2.4-inch TFT display with 230 x 320 resolution, 16MB of storage, 2MP camera on the back, 3.5mm headphone jack and MicroUSB.

In this day and age, it might be hard to note a phone without all the usual bells and whistles, but remember, this isn’t a smartphone, so there is no WiFi, GPS, or 3G internet. It does have an opera browser, but only over 2.5G connection and on a tiny display, it’s probably best kept to basic SMS messages.

The pricing is only €49, and the devices arrive Q1 2017. The big factor for a device like this is the month long stand by time that the phone will be able to provide. It has a 1,200mAh battery, but obviously the basic phone specs are what make that possible. Also it as SNAKE, so yeah, the nostalgia is strong in this one.
