The string of leaks before the official announcement were pretty much on pint. The latest announcement from Microsoft includes the latest Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2. Let’s dive right in and check out the new portable computers from the Windows giant.
Surface Pro 6
The latest convertible tablet from Microsoft gets a big spec bump moving to Intel 8th generation CPU’s, up to 16GB’s of RAM and 1TB Storage. The design hasn’t changed compared to last years Surface Pro 5 and still rocks the same layout and ports, however the battery life has increased to 13.5 hours.
We have a 12.3-inch display with 2,736 x 1,824 resolution and 267ppi. There is an 8MP camera on the rear, and a 5MP camera on the front.
Pricing for the new Surface Pro 6 starts at $899 which gets you a Grey Core-i5 with 8GB’s of RAM and 128GB SSD and will be avaialble in Black, Blue, Red, or Grey.
Surface Laptop 2
Microsoft’s latest new product is now getting its first sequel. The Surface Pro 2 will include the latest Intel 8th generation processors, which Microsoft have stated the new hardware will provide up to 85-percent increased performance.
Much like the Surface Pro 2, the laptop features an identical design to its own predecessor, but this time will also arrive in Matte Black. Battery life is rated at up to 14.5 hours and the laptop features a 13.5-inch display with
2256 x 1504 resolution and high 1,500:1 contrast ratio.
The laptop will arrive on October 16th and pricing starts at $999, with many configuration options available. It will be available in Matte Black, Grey, Red, and Blue.
