Microsoft today have announced the Surface Pro 3. The new tablet brings new updated specs and size factor, including a whopping 12-inch ClearType display with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. The slate will have some optional specs which include either a Core i3, i5 or even i7 CPU with either 4 or 8GB of RAM. Storage options will range from 64 to 512GB. Microsoft are also including a full size USB 3.0 port, MicroSD slot and Mini DisplayPort. The tablet comes in at 9.1mm with a weight of just 800g, not bad at all for a 12-inch tablet with Core i7 CPU.
The Surface Pro 3 includes a continues Kickstand for 0 to 150 degree angles of position. Microsoft also again included a digitizer pen for taking down notes in your own hand writing for ease, but also include a new function for waking the device by simply clicking the button on top of the pen, just like a pen. The Surface Pro 3 launches with a base price of €799 for the Core i3 with the price obviously climbing depending on the options you choose. Pre-ordering for the Surface Pro 3 starts tomorrow (May 21st) with availability set between June and August depending on spec of device and region. We have included the full specs, price list of different configurations, accessories and the announcement video from Microsoft below.
