GoPro Hero 6 brings 4K 60FPS and HDR video

GoPro’s latest press event was of course to announce the Hero6 action camera. The latest portable camera is already on sale and is set to bring some decent improvements to the Hero5.

Straight off the bat we have new frame rate for all the resolutions, with 4K now sporting 60fps. 2.7K can do 120fps, and 1080p goes up to 240fps. A pretty decent range of frame times and resolutions that should have you covered. The EIS is also bumped from four axis to six axis over the Hero5 for better stabilisation. We also get linear zoom instead of incremental this time around, which should make for better use.

The Hero6 will also be GoPro’s debut for the their own GP1 Imaging chip. GoPro are stating that the new chip will offer better Dynamic Range with enhanced colour reproduction, finer and more extensive manual controls, and better low-light performance. The Hero6 will also include full HDR support as well.

The Her06 is already avaialble for pre-order and will set you back €569.99
