GoPro announce new Hero5 Black and Hero5 Session

GoPro’s latest line up of camera’s have finally been announced, with the latest focusing on improvements to the body and extra features for control. The new flagship Hero5 Black features a 12MP sensor with up to 4K@30fps or 1080p@120fps, with higher and lower resolutions/fps in between. We also have EIS for improved stabilisation on the camera as well.

The big change this year is the new body with included water proof support up to 10M, built in GPS, and the new voice control that will give users quick ways to stop and start recording.

The smaller Hero5 Sessions succeeds the older Hero Sessions and includes a 10MP sensor and can also do 4K@30fps and sports the included voice control features mentioned above.

GoPro are also launching a new service to work with their new lineup that will allow for direct uploading to to the Cloud. GoPro Plus will launch in the US first for $5 a month. Sadly the ability to automatically upload your content while the device is charging is exclusive to the new GoPro Plus service. Both cameras are set to arrive on October 2nd with pricing set at $399 for the Hero5, and $299 for the Hero5 Session.
