GAME enters administration, 10,000 employees face uncertain future

Retailer GAME has just entered administration(bankruptcy). This comes after having serious financial trouble over the past year and poor sales during the holiday season in 2011. The company has also had issues sourcing new games from publishers, which did not allow GAME to sell there titles in store. GAME had be reportedly been trying to sell, but that appears to not have any luck. GAME currently has around 10,000 employees all over Europe and Australia with around 6000 in the UK alone.

The future of the 10,000 employees is uncertain and this point and any solution for GAME to remain open will have to be decided shortly. The company will be using PwC as the administrator.
