AMD included some new announcements for their A-series and Athlon line-up with the launch of Ryzen 3 today. The new series of processors are aimed at entry-level AM4 PC’s. The main benefit of using the same socket, provides users will great future upgrade options, with compatibility all the way up to their 8-core 1800x.
Their will be 8 SKU’s under the A-Series, with 3 under the Ahtlon series. We have two A12’s at $99, two A10’s at $87, a single A8 at $69, and finally three A6’s at $55 for two, and TBD on one of them.
The Athlon as three X4’s with a $99 price tag on the middle tier (950), and the 970 and 940 will have pricing release later. Sadly that’s pretty much it for the information regarding the new A-Series and Athlon line up, but we hope to have more soon.
