Acer today have announced their enxt budget tablet which is called the Iconia A1. The new tablet will enter the market with a price tag of $/€169 and includes specs such as a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor, 7.9-inch IPS display with 1,024 x 768 pixels (4:3 aspect ratio). Now it’s not the most outstanding Tablet to enter the market clearly! but for the price tag it does offer some decent enough specs.
Other details about the tablet include 5MP rear facing camera with 1080p recording, built in Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi B/G/N, optional 3G, GPS as you would now come to expect as standard for any mobile device. The Iconia A1 also includes MicroHDMI out as well and will come in two storage variants with the 8GB costing the base price of $/€169 and the 16GB costing $/€199. The 3G version will of course add a more premium price for this type of tablet and cost around $249(not confirmed). Acer have stated that the new tablet will ship sometime this June.
