Nvidia have finally announced their latest series of graphics card using their new Pascal architecture. The new GTx 1070 and 1080 will launch on June 10th and May 27th respectively and bring great efficiency with some decent performance increases.
The GTx 1070 will cost $379 and arrives with 6.5 TFLOPS of computing power and 8GB GDDR5 VRAM. THe founders edition will cost $449.
The more substantial and higher performing GTX 1080 arrives on May 27th and will offer 9 TFLOPS of computing power and 8GB of GDDR5X . Pricing is set at $599 with the founders edition being a good bit more at $699.
Below is a quick comparison between the new GTX 1080 and previous generation Nvidia cards. The 16NM process and greatly reduced power consumption should make for a very cool and power efficient graphics card. More details should give us a better idea of that when we see the benchmarks rolling in.
