Samsung introduces new 13.3-inch and 15-inch Series 9 laptops

Samsung have just released details on their new Series 9 laptops. The new new computers will come with either 13.3-inch or 15-inch displays/form factor and aimed at offering the usual slim and lightweight laptop experience.

Both laptops share mostly siilar specs and will sport either a Core-i5 or i7 processors, 4GB or 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of SSD storage. Both displays are 1080p PLS LCDs. Other shared specs inclue Windows 10, 720p webcam, and will be made using a magnesium alloy.

This is where the specs differ and starting with the 13.3-inch device, we have 2 x USB 3.0, Micro-HDMI, Mini Ethernet, Mini VGA, and a 3-in-1 memory card reader. The 13.3-inch device measures 313.8 x 218.5 x 13.4mm and weights 0.84kg.

The larger 15-inch brother offers the same 2 x USB 3.0 connections, but adds a USB Tpye-C connection, a full size HDMI, Mini Ethernet, Micro SD slot. Measurements for the 15-inch laptop come in at 346.5 x 236.8 x 14.5mm and weight is 1.29kg

The new Series 9 laptops are set to be available in select markets in 2016 and come in either Iron Silver or Modern Pink. There are currently no plans to launch the new series in the UK.
