Review: PS Vita

The PS Vita has two cameras with the same specifications. They have a resolution of (640 x 480) and this is the same for both photos and recording video. There is a built-in app for doing such tasks, but because the cameras are really meant for just games and Skype . They really aren’t of good quality.

Camera (Photos)

Let’s take a look at a few shots from the PS Vita.

Now, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. The camera is terrible, again I must say it’s not mean for taking pictures, but it still must be asked if the cameras couldn’t have been somewhat better. I have seen first generation camera phones have better quality then these. The camera apps offers no support for focusing at all. It’s extremely limited and I can’t find any reason for why they didn’t include better cameras as it just seems pointless having the camera app with photos like these.

Camera (Video)

The video records at 640 x 480 at 30fps, this is the same resolution as the photos being taken.

The quality again is pitiful and of course this isn’t expected with such low resolution cameras. Now Sony really are pointing the cameras at just for the games, but the fact they include a photo and video recording app just means that is not the case. At the end of the day, it really isn’t an issue. The cameras are there and that can’t change now.

That is it for the cameras, so now let’s check out the internet browser.
