Microsoft announce Microsoft Band: Smart watch and complete fitness tracker with cross platform support

Microsoft are finally ready to take their own smart watch to the market. The Microsoft Band is their aim at a complete fitness tracker that will work with Windows Phone, iOS and Android devices. The device will feature a lot syncing beteween your smartphone. Messages, email, incoming calls and such are all available directly on the device, as you would expect. The wristband will also feature ten sensors for a massive array of fitness tracking. The wristband includes 24-hour heart-rate tracking, sleep tracking, UV levels, and stress level monitoring as well. Microosft also included GPS in the device, so tracking without your smartphone is possible.

The included display is 1.4-inches and has a resolution of 310 x 102. Microsoft have also shared that battery life will be at 48 hours with a single charge. Pricing for the unit is set at $199 and availability is limited to the US and online, but users can order it now if they wish.
