Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 convertible with Intel/Radeon chip

Dell are bringing a new convertible laptop to the market, and this time it’s with the XPS 15 series. The new convertible size will offer those looking to get a 2-in-1 laptop/tablet, but still offer a decent display size.

Another interesting fact is that this is one of the first laptops to feature the recently announced Intel 8th generation Mobile CPU and Radeon Vega M GPU on a single chip. This is set to offer substantial performance with great efficiency.

The new Intel/Radeon chip have done a lot to keep the profile minimum, but Dell are also including a Maglev based keyboard, which uses magnets instead of the usual switches or membrane based ones.

The included 15-inch display sports up to 4K resolutions, and will include Dell Cinema tech for 100-percent Adobe RGB and HDR support. Of course being touch screen, it does also support Dell’s Active Pen with up to 4,096 levels of pressure, as well as tilt sensitivity. Clearly we’re dealing with a fairly productive device.

The new Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 will arrive this Spring starting at around €1,300, but pricing is to be confirmed closer to release window.
