Sony’s weren’t being shy at MWC 2017 this year and they have gone ahead and announced their next flagship device. The Xperia XZ will feature a 5.5-inch 4K display with HDR support. Inside we have the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset from Qualcomm with Octa-core Kryo processor with 4 x 2.45 GHz Cores and 4 x 1.9 GHz Cores RAM is 4GB’s with storage being 64GB with MicroSD slot.
Design of the phone hasn’t changed much from last years model with the devices still featuring a flat top and bottom with curve sides for better grip. The phone does feature Stereo speakers and uses USB3.1 Type-c. It will be avaialble in Luminous Chrome and Deepsea Black. Measurements are 156 x 77 x 7.9 mm, with the weight at 195g. Lastly the device is also again IP68 certified like last years Xperia XZ.
Photos will be taken on the 19MP sensor with EIS gyro support for imagine stabilisation along with phase detection focus. Sony are also including a new memory layer to allow for faster storage of photos, which removes lag when taking them. Their also include a super slow motion rate of 960fps, which Sony are chopping up to the new image tech.
Battery capacity is 3,230mAh, which we hope can drive all the new tech for a decent amount of time. The new Xperia XZ Premium will launch this spring, with a yet unknown price tag, but we’re guess it’s not going to be cheap.
