As it was expected, Sony have gone ahead and announced a 1TB version of the PlayStation 4. The new edition is dubbed the Ultimate Player 1TB edition and is set to arrive on July 15th in Europe. The name may suggest something else has been upgraded/change, but sadly that is not the case.
There is no word on cost, but since the PS4 has always had the option to increase internal storage with ease, there will hopefully not too much of a premium on the new unit.
If your still okay with a 500GB hard drive or simply wish to upgrade the storage yourself (perhaps to 2TB) Sony also announced the standard 500GB PS4 has had a reduction in weight by 10-percent and an increase of 8-percent in efficiency.
