CES is underway, and the new product announcements are rolling in. Samsung have taken the time to announce a new 2-in-1 tablet that will come to the market. The new tablet steps up Samsung line of devices with a more premium offering. This includes a magnesium alloy frame for a more appealing and stronger device.
Specs for the unit includes Intels’ latest 6th generation dual-core M chip with clockspeed set at 2.2Ghz, 4GB’s of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of SSD storage. Other specs include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, and LTE Cat 6 for the LTE version of the device. We also have a 5MP camera on the front and rear of the device.
The display is a nice crisp 12-inch Super AMOLED with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. The tablet weighs 693g (WiFi) and 696g (LTE) and measurements are 290.3 x 198.8 x 6.3mm, so an extremely thing tablet. Battery inside is 5.200mAh and charging is done via the included USB Type-C connection.
The included keyboard cover that makes this device a 2-in-1 allows the device to quickly connect/disconnect, and also sports NFC for quickly establishing connections with other devices should you so choose, but utilizes pogo pins on the devices for power/communication.
The new TabPro S arrives in February and will be available globally in both Black and White. A multi-port adapter (HDMI, USB Type A & C and Bluetooth peon will be available separately.
