Microsoft have just released plans to bring their own Digital TV Tuner to the Xbox One. The tuner will use USB to connect to the Xbox One and support DVB-T, DVB-T2 and DVB-C. The idea behind the product is to give Xbox One users the ability to take advantage of the Xbox One guide with the tuner taking full advantage of its offerings.
Pricing for the dongle will be set at €29.99 or £24.99 and will be available in United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. No word on Ireland, but we can’t imagine support would be too far off. Release date has also not yet been shared, but will be some time this year.
