As we get ready for CES 2014 to kick off, we will begin to get more and more announcements and this time around we have Acer announcing two new budget tablets with the 7.9-inch Iconia A1-830 and 7-inch Iconia B1-720. The two new tablets share similar specs and price points coming in at $149 for the A1-830 and $130 for the B1-720. We have listed the specs of both models below.
Iconia A1-830
The A1-830 features a 7.9-inch IPS dispaly with 1,024 x 768 resolution. Intel Atom Z2560 1.6GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, PowerVR SGX 544 MP2 GPU, 16GB of storage with MicroSD slot. 5MP rear facing camera with 1080p recording and a 1.9MP front facing camera with 720p support. Other features include Stereo Speakers, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, GPS. Acer have also stated that the tablet with run for up to 7.5 hours on a single charger. The tablet will be running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and it’s housing is made of aluminium.
Iconia B1-720
The cheaper B1-72- tablet features a 7-inch display with what we are assuming is a 1,024 x 768 resolution , a 1.3GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. 16GB of storage with MicroSD slot. There is sadly no rear facing camera, but it does have a front facing one, but specs are still unknown (probably 1.9MP or VGA). Basic connectivity includes Bluetooth and WiFi b/g/n. The cheaper tablet will also be running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.
