One of the big announcements for the Xbox One was backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games by way of emulation. Phil Spencer announced today that support for original Xbox games is now possible, and will launch this Fall, and also shared that nearly 400 titles from Xbox 360 are now compatible with the latest Xbox One platform.
Ultimately this means that it will be potentially possible to run any Xbox game from previous generations on the latest hardware. The launch of their latest console was stressed that all previous games from Xbox One would work, and even run better, but also no games would only support the new Xbox One X.
We haven’t found out what games will launch with the new compatibility support, but Phil Spencer did state that Crimson Skies: high Road to Revenge will be one of them.
