Dell intros new Inspiron 7000 range and XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop

Dell’s XPS has been a popular brand of laptop from the company for years, but things are stepping up a notch with Dell finally make the series a 2-in-1 laptop/tablet convertible. The effort aims to keep the same ultrathin bezel and overall building quality, but with the added benefit of complete swivel display. Dell also announced the new Inspiron 7000 series with more alienware-esque design and latest Intel processors, which we will detail below.

XPS 13 2-in-1

Specs for the the XPS 13 laptop will start with the latest Intel 7th Generation processors with Core i5 and i7 on tha tablet. Up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB SSD (with M.2 storage options available). The display is offered with either 1080p or QuadHD+. The design is also completely fanless, which should keep things quiet, but probably includes some throttling if things heat up.

Laplet/Tabtop also includes 2 USB 3.0 ports with thunderbolt support, with Dell also include a USB-A to USB-C adaptor. Lastly the device weighs 1.32Kg and is just 13.3mm thick.

The XPS 13 arrives January 5th and will start at $1,000, with prices ranging up from there depending on configuration.

Inspiron 7000

The new Inspiron range of laptops include either the Core i5-7300HQ or Core i7-7700HQ from Intel, with up to 32GB of RAM, and GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti from Nvidia. Displays come with either 14 or 15-inch variants with either 1080p or 4K resolutions avaialble.

Pricing for the Inspiron 7000 start at $799 with the lowest avaialble configuration, and will also be avaialble to order on January 5th.
