It was suspected that the new S6 would get it’s own Gear VR in toe. The new Gear VR for the S6 and S6 edge will feature a smaller design/lighter design and an added MicroUSB port for charging your device while in use. Something seriously lacking from the Note 4 version. As we mentioned support includes the new S6 edge along with the standard S6. The S6 phones features a larger PPI, meaning it should limit the screen door effect somewhat, but we’re not going to see much.
Release hasn’t be set, but were expecting it to be sometime in April along with the S6/S6 Edge themselves. Pricing is the same as the previous Gear VR at $200.
