The new Alienware 13 Gaming Laptop and Area 51 Desktop PC are now available to order directly from Dell. The new laptop and desktop are set to ship in November. The Alienware 13 gaming laptop will start at €1,049 and that will get you a dual-core i5-4210U processor with 8GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive, and a 2GB Nvidia Geforce 860M GPU. The display starts pretty low with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, but can be bumped up to a 1080p or 2,560 x 1440 with touchscreen. The RAM and storage can be changed for up to 16GB and a up to 512GB SSD.
The Area51 Gaming Desktop starts at €1,599 and that pricetag includes the new Core i7 5820k six-core CPU, 8GB of RAM. a 2TB hard drive, and finally a 2GB AMD Radeon R9 270 GPU. Being a desktop PC, there are more upgrade options available which include the 5930k, and 5960x, up to 32GB of RAM and 512GB SSD and 4TB hard drive storage. The GPU options are fairly extensive with Dell offering single, dual and triple graphics cards setups.
Single card options include a Nvidia GTX 770 2GB, a GTX 780 3GB, a GTX 980 4GB or the GTX Titan Z 12GB. Moving up the chain with dual card setups, the options are pretty much doubling up the single cards with 2 x GTX 770’s, 2 x GTX 780, 2 x GTX 980 or 2 x Titan Z. Lastly we have the triple card setups and that includes 3 x GTX 770, 3 x GTX 780, 3 x GTX 980 and finally 3 x AMD Radeon R9 290x.
