Apple took a lot of time for the new tablet announcements, but also brought a new iMac to the stage. The new 27-inch computer features what Apple are calling the Retina 5K display. Touting a resolution of 5,120 x 2,880, the display features 14.7 million pixels. That is 67-inch percent detail than a 4K display.
The hardware inside includes an Intel i5 3.5GHz Quad-Core or 4GHz i7 Quad-Core CPU. RAM starts at 8GB and can go up to 32GB. Storage starts at 1TB and can go up to a 3TB Fusion Drive and 1TB PCIe Flash storage. The insane resolutions are powered by the AMD Radeon M290X graphics card or users can choose the AMD R9 M295X instead. The base price for the new iMac starts at $2,499. The extra hardware options available can quickly increase that price depending on the configuration choice.
