Microsoft kindly shared a massive list of new information on the upcoming new Windows 10 OS. Something we know a lot of users were eager to know was the cost of the new OS and what Windows 8.1 users will be paying. Thankfully Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for users running Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1. Windows Phone 8.1 users will also get the free upgrade to Windows 10, but that was expected.
We’re not exactly sure what the “for the first year” means, but we’re hoping that just an aim to get more people to upgrade to the latest offer as quickly as possible. Costs after that I have yet to be announced and will probably drop closer to the release date.
