Three Ireland gets EC approval for O2 purchase

Three Ireland have just be given the green light from the European Commission with regards to their €850 million bid for Telefonica’s o2 Ireland network. The deal, which should now be completed soon will see Three become the second largest network in Ireland with a total of 2 million subscribers and a 37-percent market share. Currently customer service, paying your bills will all stay the same, but in the future the O2 Brand will be phased out completely. No details have be shared on when and how O2 Stores across Ireland will be affected.
