Samsung announce Galaxy Camera 2 and NX30

We are barely into the new year and we begin to get our CES announcements and Samsung doesn’t want to wait until CES actually begins to start announcing new products. The first announcements are for the Galaxy Camera 2 and NX30. The former being the popular Android powered camera and the latter being the higher quality mirror-less camera. Let’s a take a closer look at both of them.

Galaxy Camera 2

The Galaxy Camera 2 brings a new design, faster processor, NFC, and the latest Android 4.3. Most of the other specs including 16-MP BSI sensor, 21x zoom and 4-8 inch LCD display are the same as before, however Samsung also bumped the battery to a 2,000mAh and dropped the weight down to 283g. NX30

The NX30 has got a few upgrade over it’s predecssor the NX20. The NX30 includes a 20.3MP APS-C CMOS Sensor, 3-inch Super AMOLED Swivel and Touch enabled display. The NX30 will also be launching with two new lenses which are the 16-50mm F2-2.8 S ED OIS Lens and 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 Power Zoom ED OIS Lens. That’s pretty much it for the first product announcement form Samsung for CES 2014, ironically before CES 2013 even starts. Pricing and availablilty for the Galaxy Camera 2 and NX30 have yet to be released, however it shouldn’t be too long before those details drop as well.
