Review: Sony Xperia P

Becnhmark

Now the Xperia P has Dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz and while we are seeing faster dual cores and even quad-core processors already on the market, It’s none the less wise to see how well the CPU and GPU perform on the Xperia P.

Antutu

The scores are low but expected as we are dealing with a low clocked dual-core. The fact that the Galaxy SII which as we know is a phone from over a year ago and that is know that a popular device. This may not be an issue for those in the market for a new device, but a slight issue being that the Xperia P doesn’t have a small price tag. This may turn people away from it.

Quadrant

Again, we are seeing similar results as we did with Antutu. While the performance isn’t low, there is certainly better options for higher performance and this includes devices from a year ago.

Vellamo

Vellamo tests a lot of different factors and doesn’t just check performance of the CPU and GPU alone. The Xperia P shows a less than 1000 results, again this should be considered a low result but there is much better options available, that is assuming performance is what you are looking for in a device.
