Qualcomm have finally revealed details of their next big chipset that is likely to be inside most flagship smartphones next year. The new chipset uses Qualcomm’s new Kyro CPU – which is built on a new 14nm FinFET process, and processes to bring twice as much power and better efficiency.

The new CPU is clocked at 2.2GHZ, although we’re guessing they’ll come with slightly lower/higher clocks from different phone manufactures. The graphics will be handled by the Adreno 530 GPU.

Other features for the new chipset include a new Spectra image signal processor (for up to 28MP photos), QuickCharge 3.0 for a 38-percent more efficient charging over 2.0, an X12LTE modem and advanced Tri-Band Wi-Fi, and added support for Snapdragon Sense ID – which takes an ultrasonic reading of your fingerprint.
