LG officially unveil V20 smartphone

Lg’s latest flagship smartphone and a good few leaks before its official announced, but likely always some details get a little murky with rumours. Thankfully the official announcement is here the LG V20 has been detailed. The new device takes what LG have learned with last years V10 and adds to it.

First things first we have a complete aluminium body with removable back cover. LG have done away with last years more rugged design, but still continue to offer a sturdy device. The removable back cover is not just for the NanoSim and MicroSD, but also the removable battery as well.

The main display is a 5.7-inch IPS screen with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. The secondary display located above the main display is now slightly longer and brighter than last years V10. It also allows for more information to be display at any given time.

Internals include the popular Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm with 4GB’s of RAM. Storage is 64GB internal with MicroSD slot for expansion.

The main camera is a 16MP OIS with both laser and phase-detection autofocus, but we also have another 8MP fixed-focus on the back of the device for 135-degree photos. Video recording will also benefit from the the ability to record 24bit/48KHz lossless audio along with the video.

The LG V20 will also launch with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Availability is set end of September or early October with pricing to be announced later.
