Samsung officially announce the Galaxy S4 Active: bringing IP67 dust and water proof to the S4 line up

The Samsung Tomorrow blog as officially announced the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. The device which has been rumored for some time now is finally officially and we can finally share the specs. The S4 Active will have a difference design compared to he original S4 for obvious reasons (check out gallery below), the inclusion of three physical buttons on the front is the most notable. Spec wise we are now looking at a 5-inch TFT LCD display which is also has 1,920 x 1,080 resolution.  An unknown 1.9GHz quad-core CPU with 2GB, 16GB of storage (expandable MicroSD slot) and a 2,600mAh battery.

The new dust and water proof phone will also include LTE and 3G. WiFi b/g/n/ac. Bluetooth 4.0 with LE. USB 2.0, IrDA and NFC. The camera sensor has dropped a few megapixels as well coming back down to 8MP that we seen on the S3. The S4 Active will be avaiable later this summer in the US and Sweden first with other regions getting it soon after, it will also come in three different colors being Urban Grey, Dive Blue and Orange Flare.
