Apple have taken to the stage today to announce some new products. Something a lot of users have been eagerly awaited was a refreshed MacBook. The new MacBook has a 12-inch thin bezel display with 2,304 x 1,440 pixel resolution. The base model starts at $1,299 and will include an Intel 1.1Ghz Core M processor with 8GB of RAM. Storage starts at 256GB SSD. Stepping up a tier for $1,599 will get you a 1.2Ghz processor and 512GB SSD. Also just announced and inlcuded in the new MacBook is Apple’s Force Touch trackpad. The new pad removes all tactile feedback and gives the users a pressure sensitive pad.

While the upgrade hardware is a massive plus, the new design shares some of the new MacBooks praise. The laptop is now 40-percent thinner than the previous MacBook Air and weighs just .90Kg/2lbs. The laptop itself is ridiculously thin at 13.1mm. This requires the removal of any think connections, including USB. Apple have gone for the future here and are including a USB Type-C connection and thats it. The single USB Type-C will handle charging the device, display outputs, and standard USB connections with an adapter, which launches along side the new MacBook for $79.
