Apple latest event is currently taking place on stage, and the first big announcement is their fruits latest tablet. The iPad Pro takes apple’s popular slate category into the a new arena with a 12.9-inch display (call 13-inches?)
The new tablet display size includes a massive resolution of 2,732 x 2,048. Which is a 4:3 ratio if anyone was wondering. The tablet also features Apples A9X processor which offers 2x faster storage and memory performance compared to the previous A8X.
Other specs include an 8MP camera, touch-ID fingerprint sensor. The tablet is stated to have a 10 hours battery, and considering it’s size, that should be accurate.
Accessories for the tablet include a smart keyboard and a pencil like stylus – which is the first time an Apple tablet has been made with stylus support.
The new tablet comes with a hefty price tag with the unit starting at $799 for the 32GB model. $949 for 128GB. $1,079 with 128GB and LTE.
One of the big features integrated with iOS9 is 3D Touch- where users can enact different functions depending on how much pressure they exert on the display. Developers will hopefully begin to take advantage of it as soon as possible as it sounds pretty cool.
The accessories are $99 and $169 for the Pencil Stylus and Smart Keyboard respectively. Both the tablet and accessories arrive this November.
